About us
Everything dogs. For 8 years.
G.A.P on Everything Dogs has spent 8 years working with dogs and their families across Nairobi and Kiambu, from tiny puppies to powerful working breeds.
Our story
G.A.P on Everything Dogs started with a simple belief, the one in our name and on our badge: after God, trust your dog. A dog's loyalty is one of the most valuable things a family can have. But loyalty alone does not make a dog safe, calm or reliable. That takes understanding, structure and good training.
Over 8 years we have trained family pets, rescued dogs, nervous dogs, puppies and working breeds such as German Shepherds, Rottweilers and Dobermans. We have helped owners get control at the gate, stop aggression before it got worse, raise confident puppies, and build protection dogs that stay social and safe.
Today G.A.P covers everything dogs: dog training in every form, from puppy school to protection K9; canine behaviour and rehabilitation; grooming and canine hygiene; the G.A.P dog motel with dog walking and pet sitting; and rehoming, rescue and responsible breeding.
What G.A.P stands for
G.A.P stands for God Answers Prayers. The name reflects the faith behind the business, and it sits right beside our motto: “After God, trust your Dog.” A well-trained, well-cared-for dog is a blessing to a family, and we treat every dog that way.
Meet the trainer: David Karanja
Training at G.A.P is led by David Karanja. David has more than 8 years of experience in behavioural training and a deep, all-round knowledge of dogs, from puppies and family pets to working and guarding breeds. He works hands-on with dogs of all breeds and makes sure owners leave knowing how to handle their own dog.

What we stand for
Our values
-
Safety first
For the dog, the family, visitors and the public. Every plan starts with an honest look at risk.
-
Clear and fair
Dogs learn best with clear communication, consistency and fair handling, never cruelty or intimidation.
-
Owners included
Training only lasts if the family can keep it going, so we teach you as much as we teach your dog.
-
Honest advice
We tell you what is realistic for your dog, even when it is not what you hoped to hear.
Our approach
How we work with you
-
Assess
We meet your dog, watch how it behaves and listen to what you need. Temperament, health, breed and home all shape the plan.
-
Train
Structured sessions build skills step by step, with clear communication and fair, consistent handling.
-
Hand over
You learn the commands and the handling, and practise until the dog responds to you, not just to the trainer.
-
Follow up
We check in, fine-tune and help you keep the results as your dog grows and life changes.
