Sometimes a dog needs a new home, and sometimes it needs a second chance first. We assess, rehabilitate where needed, and match each dog with the right home.
We get to know the dog's temperament, health, training and needs before we look for a home.
Dogs that are fearful, neglected or struggling get time, structure and training before they move on.
We match each dog with a home that fits the space, the family, other pets and the new owner's experience.
A planned handover with advice for the first weeks, and support afterwards if questions come up.
Giving up a dog is rarely easy. People relocate, circumstances change, or a dog’s needs no longer fit the household. Whatever the reason, the goal is the same: a safe, suitable home where the dog can thrive. Handing a dog to the first person who asks, or posting it on a classifieds site, can end badly for everyone.
We help by assessing the dog honestly, preparing it for a new home where needed, and matching it with people who are ready for that particular dog.
Some dogs come to us frightened, neglected or with problem behaviour. Before they can go to a new home, they need time to recover, a predictable routine and patient training. Our rehabilitation work draws on the same skills as our behavioural training: understanding why a dog behaves the way it does, then building trust, confidence and control step by step.
G.A.P is also involved in breeding. Health, sound temperament and the right homes come first, and puppies go to owners who are ready for them. If you are looking for a puppy, ask us on WhatsApp about availability. Wherever you buy, read our puppy training timeline so you are ready from day one.
An adult dog can be a wonderful choice: you know its size and temperament, and many are already house-trained. Tell us about your home, family and experience, and what you are looking for. Before you adopt, read our guide to rehoming and adopting responsibly in Nairobi.
Many dogs are given up because of problems that training can fix: pulling, jumping, barking, escaping or fear. Before you decide, it may be worth talking to us about behavioural training.
