The G.A.P dog motel
Our dog motel is boarding for dogs whose owners are travelling or need a break. During a stay we:
- Keep feeding times and amounts as close to home as possible
- Give daily exercise and time to rest
- Watch your dog’s appetite, energy and behaviour, and tell you if anything seems off
- Give any medication exactly as you instruct
- Keep dogs safe, and only let them mix where it is suitable
We are not a veterinary clinic. If a dog needs a vet during its stay, we contact you straight away.
Dog walking and pet sitting
A walk is a training opportunity. Calm, loose-lead walks build good habits, burn energy and reduce problem behaviour at home. If your dog pulls or reacts on walks, pair care with obedience training.
Pet sitting means visits to your home to feed your dog, refresh its water, give it some play and company, and check that all is well, so your dog can stay in familiar surroundings.
How booking works
- Message us on WhatsApp with your dates, your area and your dog’s breed, age and needs.
- We confirm availability, what to bring and drop-off or visit times.
- Before the stay make sure vaccinations and tick and worm control are up to date.
- During the stay you can message us for updates.

Do you offer dog boarding in Nairobi and Kiambu?
Yes. The G.A.P dog motel takes dogs for boarding while their owners are away. Send us your dates and your dog's breed, age and needs on WhatsApp and we will confirm availability.
What is a dog motel?
It is our name for dog boarding. Your dog stays with us for a few nights or longer, and we look after feeding, exercise, rest and its general wellbeing until you collect it.
What do I need to bring for a motel stay?
Your dog's usual food, any medication with written instructions, the vaccination card, a lead and collar with an ID tag, and something familiar like a blanket. We confirm the list when you book.
Do dogs need to be vaccinated for boarding?
Yes. For the safety of every dog, vaccinations (including rabies) and tick and worm control must be up to date. Bring the vaccination card.
How much does boarding, walking or sitting cost?
Pricing is on request via WhatsApp. It depends on the service, how long you need it and your dog's needs.
When can I drop off and collect my dog?
We are open 24 hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and closed on Wednesday and Sunday. Drop-off and collection times are agreed on WhatsApp when you book.
